Namorian Marines

"No shore is too distant, no ocean too vast, no storm too terrible, for grasping Namoria sails with the rising tide!" - Opia, queen of the Namorians.

The Namorians are a seafaring fantasy civilization I'm developing as part of a collaborative worldbuilding project with fellow fantasy and history illustrators and enthusiasts. They are heavily influenced by Bronze and Dark Age Greece, and other Egean and Mediterranean civilizations.

Their primary fitting force is their navy, which consists of sturdy ships and brave marines ready to sail the high seas, searching for new lands, trade, plunder, and conquest.

In these sketches and illustrations, I am trying to identify a visual look and feel of the Namorian marines. Using the visual aesthetics of the Bronze Age Aegean as a jumping-off point, I hope to develop the Namorians into a unique seafaring fantasy civilization.
