Neander Som

Say hello to Som! He's a Neandertal, and a grumpy one too by the looks of it. But Som is a kind soul, he just gets irritated very easily.

Neandertals, much like us, probably felt and expressed a wide range of emotions. There have been some findings that show, or very heavily suggest they cared for their tribe members. So much so that neanders who were sick and injured, and by extension a liability to the tribe (as is the case with many animals) we're cared and provided for.

Since expressing emotions is also found in chimps and other primates, I think it's safe to say Neandertals - our closest extinct relatives, were capable of much the same.

With that said, I think we can all agree we've had days or situations that made us feel like Som. And that makes us and them even more alike.
