Acrocantho

The pale light cuts through the dense woodland, illuminating the small clearing between the trees. A lone female acrocanthosaurus stalks about in the gloom of this early cretaceous morning. She is on the trail of another dinosaur, carefully tracking her prey.

Here's an illustration of an Acrocanthosaurus, a large tetrapod from the early cretaceous of North America. This is one of my favorite large carnivorous dinosaurs, and one that doesn't get half as much attention as it should.
